Fastest Way to Reach S-Tier in Merge a Nuke
A step-by-step route to the strongest nukes in Merge a Nuke — redeem codes, merge aggressively, prioritize upgrades, and rebirth at the right time.
Jun 22, 2026
There is no secret best item in Merge a Nuke — the S band is simply your deepest merge chain, worth roughly 4,096 starter bombs. Here is the fastest, no-waste route to get there.
1. Redeem every code first
Before you do anything else, open the Store and redeem all active codes. Free cash and nukes give you a head start on merges instead of grinding the opening tiers by hand.
2. Merge every duplicate on sight
Never hoard low-tier bombs. Two identical items merge into one nuke a tier higher, and higher tiers earn exponentially more. Unmerged duplicates just clog your grid and waste income.
3. Prioritize the right upgrades
Balance your spending across the core upgrades rather than dumping it all into one:
- Spawn Tier — start spawns closer to high-income nukes.
- Max Spawn — more nukes on the grid means more cash/sec.
- Lock Base — protect stored cash so a raid does not undo your progress.
4. Equip a commander
Commanders now live in Inventory, not the old Commanders button — that was replaced in the July 25, 2026 patch. A cash-oriented commander scales every nuke on your grid, so unlock the highest rarity you can. If you are pushing progression, pick up Overclocker and Barrier early: Rebirth 8 is gated behind both.
5. Rebirth at the plateau
When new merges and upgrades barely raise your cash/sec, it is time to rebirth. The permanent cash bonus makes your next run climb faster than the progress you reset — Rebirth 8 gives +110%, 9 gives +120%, and 10 gives +130%. Spend your cash first, because rebirth clears it.
6. Check your numbers
Use the income calculator to compare bands, and the payback calculator on the rebirth page to see how long a reset takes to pay for itself. Plan the climb, do not guess it.
